A five-minute drive northwest of Lucca on the SP24 brings you to B&B Vigna Ilaria home to one of the area’s best restaurants. Although the outside looks old, the rooms are modern and recently decorated with bright tiling or carpets, pastel walls and wood-beamed ceilings. Vigna Ilaria lies on Lucca’s Strada del Vino (wine road), so it comes as no surprise to find that the restaurant has a list of over 300 wines. Booking recommended.
